Kate Ovaska is a photographer living and working in Brooklyn, NY. Her photographs and light installations consider adoption, family structures, and intimate relationships. She received a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design and an MFA from Columbia University. She served as the art editor of the Columbia literary journal for issue 51. Her awards include a Fulbright Scholarship to Germany, the CAA Professional Development Grant, and the Pioneer Works Visual Art Residency.
