"VISITS"
November 12 - December 31, 1996
Menschel Gallery catalogue #46
In her work, Linda Connor fully embraces the idea of
the landscape as cultural terrain, varying her viewpoint
to include close observations, portraits, and populated
scenes. Her photographs clearly describe humans as a
part of nature, and nature as not just vast, open, overpowering
spaces, but a force that comes alive in the details
of a twisted tree trunk, the movement of the stars across
the night sky, and in the simple daily chore of washing
food.
