part of Th3. In addition, Light Work, Community Folk Art Center, and

Red House Arts Center 
Red House Arts Center features video art by Barry Anderson on three flat panel screens. The showcased videos include Treebeasties (1), Vertical Blinds (2), and Pulp Kali. Anderson's work is shown parallel to the main exhibition, Mudboy
by Raphael Lyon, from September 17 through November 8, 2009. The
opening reception will take place on September 17, a Th3 night, at 5pm.

Warehouse Gallery 
The Warehouse Gallery features Barry Anderson's video Memory Bleed separate from their main exhibition American Ream
with Marco Maggi. The main exhibition is scheduled September 17 through
November 7, 2009, with an opening reception on Th3 night on September
17, 5-8pm.

The Point of Contact Gallery 
The Point of Contact Gallery is showing Barry Anderson's Kings, Thieves
video in the storefront of their gallery. The gallery formally begins
its fall season on September 17, 2009 with the exhibition Slow Scandal,
featuring Marco Maggi. This exhibition represents a collaborative
venture with the Warehouse Gallery. The Point of Contact Gallery
will host a reception on September 17 as part of Th3, from 5-8pm.

Light Work 
Light Work's Main Gallery features the video and sound installation Ectoplasmic Response
by Barry Anderson. The exhibition is scheduled through
October 21, 2009 with a lecture and gallery reception on September 29,
5-8pm. The lecture is sponsored by Syracuse University's 2009 Syracuse
Symposium, themed "Light."

Community Darkrooms Open House/Special Event Reminder

Darkrooms is pleased to invite its members and the public to a special
event to celebrate our renovated facility. We have a new digital
service area and lounge; new, faster printers; and other services. Come
this Sunday and see for yourself why now is the best time to join
Community Darkrooms.

by for a tour of the facility or a portfolio review completed by Mary
Goodwin, Vern Burnett, or John Mannion. In addition, MacCentrix will be
on-site to complete a free cleaning of your Mac laptop computer.
1pm: Digital Color Basics Seminar with Clark Omholt
In
this fun and informative seminar, renowned digital color and workflow
expert Clark Omholt teaches you how to get better monitor-to-print
matching, starting with the basics of working with color spaces,
calibrating your monitor, and working with color settings in Adobe
Photoshop and Bridge. Community Darkrooms Epson printers will be on
hand to demonstrate throughout the seminar. Bring a digital file
of your own and see how color management improves your print results!
