2010 Annual Fund
                             ... final reminder, final day.

If you were flirting with the idea to make a donation to Light Work, please do so now as this is the final day of our fiscal year. Your "gesture of love" can start with as little as $15.

A huge thank you to everybody who has helped us make this fiscal year a success. We could not have done it without you.

And an extra warm THANK YOU goes to our Executive Director Jeffrey Hoone, who celebrates his 30th year at Light Work on Friday. How do we even give thanks for commitment like that? Five years ago we threw him a surprise party in New York City. Over three hundred of his closest friends and supporters attended. We promised him another party for the 50th aniversary.

This year, we will work harder than ever to make Jeff's vision for Light Work come true. This vision has always been clear and is the core of Light Work's mission: support artists in the best way we possibly can. So here's to the next twenty years. We are ready for the next party.

Best wishes,
the Light Work Staff

Other Light Work News

FacebookLight Work has changed up its presence in Facebook. We now have three pages that each serve a slightly different purpose. LIGHT WORK is the main Facebook page and includes news about our programs, exhibitions, residency program and more. If you are only joining one page, join this one.

The CONTACT SHEET page tells you all about our publication and special offers. We'll let you know when the newest book previews go online, catalogues are mailed out, and important subscription news.

And the COMMUNITY DARKROOMS page includes local news + events, workspace updates, course information, and digital printing specials. Follow this page and you won't miss out on any Light Work lectures, visiting artists, and other local opportunities.

We'll continue to send out e-newsletters and announcements for our main exhibitions. New this year, we will also be sending a brochure that announces all events and exhibitions for the fall. Expect it in your mail sometime in August.

About Light Work:

Light Work's mission is to provide direct support through exhibitions, artist residencies, special projects, and publications to emerging and under-recognized visual artists working in photography and related digital and electronic media.

Light Work is dedicated to the support of the creation of new work and the promotion of photography as a medium. The state-of-the-art darkrooms and digital facilities are designed to make it easy for artists to produce museum-quality work. All services are geared toward the needs of artists.

Great Art. Great Price. Great Cause. The Light Work subscription program offers limited edition original artwork at exceptionally low prices. Sale of these prints helps Light Work to support artists.
