Light Work announces beginning of 2007 subscription program and 30 th anniversary of Contact Sheet

Light Work is pleased to announce the beginning of the 2007 subscription program for Contact Sheet , one of the longest-running photography publications in the world. This year marks the 30 th anniversary of Contact Sheet . Published since 1977 by Light Work, a non-profit, artist-run photography center in Syracuse, NY, the design of Contact Sheet has evolved over the years from a newsletter format to more extended catalogues of beautifully reproduced color and duotone photographs by important emerging and mid-career artists.

A one-year subscription to Contact Sheet includes five issues. Four of the issues are catalogues featuring work by a single artist, and one special issue, The Light Work Annual , includes work by artists invited to participate in Light Work's Artist-in-Residence program.

Contact Sheet is designed in the tradition of fine art photography monographs and is completely commercial free. Over the past thirty years, Contact Sheet has published the work of many important photographers in the early stages of their careers including James Casebere, Cindy Sherman, Andres Serrano, Zeke Berman, Laurie Simmons, and Carrie Mae Weems.
