Description
Contact Sheet 104 features 28 duotone reproductions of photographs by Steve Cagan. For several years, Cagan has been documenting aspects of the work and social lives of rank-and-file Cubans, and trying to understand and communicate something about their ideas and attitudes about the changes their society is undergoing. His photographs encourage a richer, more complex vision of the Cuban reality. Using portraiture as a major element of his documentary work, Cagan allows his subjects to participate in their own presentation.
