Zora Murff

Zora J Murff’s photography focuses on how images can reinforce social and cultural constructs, including race and criminality. Murff received his MFA in Studio Art from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and holds a BS in Psychology from Iowa State University. He has exhibited his work nationally and internationally, and appeared online in The British Journal of Photography and Wired Magazine’s Raw File. VICE Magazine and PDN’s Emerging Photographer Magazine have published his work. Named a Photolucida Critical Mass finalist in 2014 and a LensCulture Top 50 Emerging Talent in 2015, Murff is part of the Midwest Photographers Project through the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago. His first monograph, Corrections (2015) was published by Aint-Bad Editions and his second monograph, LOST, Omaha (2018) was published by Kris Graves Projects. Murff is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Photography at the University of Arkansas.
