Description

Contact Sheet 95 features work from an exhibition titled Eclectic Flavour. According to Eddie Chambers, “Within this exhibition we can see, at first hand, some of the ways in which ‘Black British photography’ has undergone a continual process of pluralisation that brings with it a new resistance to collective or common approaches to issues of identity and the use of the camera.” The artists included create many different kinds of images, from portraiture to photographs which capture cultural and religious heritage. One photographer utilizes digital imaging to create their images, while the rest use more traditional methods of photography.

Artists Included: Joy Gregory, Roshini Kempadoo, Addela Khan, Franklyn Rodgers, and Yinka Shonibare.
