More than forty black and white images by photographer Joseph Lawton make up this issue of Contact Sheet, containing a photoessay of the past 25 years of the New York State Fair which is held annually in Syracuse, NY. This issue was printed in accompaniment of the exhibition State Fair, that ran from August 24 through October 13, 2000 in the Robert Menschel Gallery at Light Work.

This catalogue includes an essay by Jeffrey Hoone.

Joseph Lawton is a native of Central New York. He is a freelance photographer and teaches at Fordham University and Hunter College.
