With enormous pleasure, Light Work announces the 2025 Light Work Artists-in-Residence (AIRs). A total of fourteen artists working in photography and related media received residencies:

Barbara Bosworth & Emily Sheffer (Massachussetts), Harlan Bozeman (Arkansas), Lindsay Buchman (New York), Shawn Bush (Wyoming), Lucero Del Castillo (Peru), Patrick Garcia (Connecticut), Kei Ito (Maryland), Ian Kline (New York), S. Billie Mandle (Massachussetts), Kai Oh (New York), Joe Reynolds (Tennessee), Marie Smith (United Kingdom), Sabrina Tirvengadum (United Kingdom), and Jaclyn Wright (Utah). 

Light Work has two exciting collaborations with prominent organizations that support our artists this year. Autograph in London, UK, has sponsored the residencies of Marie Smith and Sabrina Tirvengadum, the latest in a partnership that dates from 1996. The Darryl Chappell Foundation which has supported artists in Light Work’s residency program since 2022 continues by providing support to Harlan Bozeman.
 
Light Work’s Artist-in-Residence program is generously supported by The National Endowment for the Arts.

The annual applications are of such high quality that the slimmest of margins usually determine the judges’ final choices, and this year has been no exception. Light Work extends a full-hearted thank you to all who applied.

Our mission is to provide direct support to artists working in photography and related media, through residencies, publications, and a community-access lab facility.
