John Mann was born in the East, raised in the Midwest, and schooled in the West. Upon graduation from the University of New Mexico with an MFA in Photography, he headed back east to start the cycle all over again. He now lives in Tallahassee, Florida, where he makes images and teaches at Florida State University. His work has also traveled, and has been exhibited internationally at venues such as Daniel Cooney Fine Art (NYC), Hyeres Festival of Photography (FR), Phillips de Pury (London), PDX Contemporary (Portland), Newspace Center for Photography (Portland), The Print Center (Philadelphia), Jen Bekman Projects (NYC), Privateer Gallery (Brooklyn), Gallery Kunstler (Rochester, NY) and the Griffin Museum of Photography. John is a member of the Piece of Cake (POC) photography network.
