The Stand: Summer Photo Contest 2021

Light Work’s Urban Video Project in partnership with The Stand Newspaper, will host a four-day exhibition highlighting images by 2021 Summer Photo Contest participants.  Each summer, The Stand Newspaper sponsors its annual Photo Walk, encouraging community members to explore, meet neighbors, and document the city of Syracuse in photos.

Sunday, August 22, 7:00 p.m. 

Join The Stand for 2021 Summer Photo Contest announcement at Wildflowers Armory in downtown Syracuse, the night will include tabling by local organizations, a raffle, and fundraising for a new high school Journalism Lab. At dusk, guests will make their way, led by UNiTY Street Band, to the Everson Museum of Art for an exhibition showcasing this year’s photo contest participants. The McCarthy Mercantile is located at 217 1/2 S. Salina Street in downtown Syracuse, NY 13202. Enter through Wildflowers Armory on Fayette Side. Parking is available on West Fayette and Salina Street.
