Growing up on the south side of Chicago with his mother, brother, and sister led to documentary photography that captures powerful subjects who represent today’s society. Bennett attended Chicago High School for the Arts and pursued his bachelor’s in photography at The Art Academy of Cincinnati. He was the national YoungArts winner in 2014 for photography and has exhibited widely from New York City to Chicago to Seattle. Using his background and creative eye to capture African American culture and representation of today’s society, he also uses visual work for himself—to transform the next individual mind and perspective of this world, leading to a brighter outlook.
