Gonzalo Reyes Rodriguez is a visual artist working in photography and video. He employs sourced and found material from the recent past, using his work to test perceptions of time and the inherent challenges of the visual record.
Recent exhibitions include the Centre for Contemporary Arts in Glasgow, Marinaro Gallery in New York City, and National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa. His work has appeared in Artforum, Hyperallergic, Public Parking, and TerremotoMX. He has participated in residencies at ACRE, MassMoCA, and Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture. Recent projects have received support from the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, Foundation for Contemporary Arts, and Illinois Arts Council. Rodriguez received a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2009 and an MFA from the University of Pennsylvania in 2016. He divides his time between New York City and Vancouver.
