North Side Learning Center Youth: Soft Animal
May 8 – 11 | Sunday – Tuesday | dusk – 11 p.m.


Urban Video Project (UVP) presents Soft Animal at UVP’s outdoor projection site on the north facade of the Everson Museum of Art.  This exhibition showcases artwork from North Side Learning Center youth who participated in photography and writing workshops conducted by university student mentors enrolled in Syracuse University’s TRM 310/610: Literacy, Community, and Media. Professors Victor Rivera and Jessica Martinez taught this course.

Exhibiting artists: Nasteho Abdi, Omar Abdulkadir, Faizo Ali, Ridwan Ali, Hamad Dhari, Abdi Habseme, Khadija Habseme, Barwako Hassen, Hibak Hassen, Shukri Hassen, Dhol Ibrahim, Fozia Ibrahim, Ugaso Ibrahim, Mohamed Kusaw, Habibah Muktar, Hussein Muktar, Iqra Muktar, Zahara Muktar, and Hassan Yerow.
